Pedaling for Kids
Dr. Sherrer founded Pedaling for Kids in 2010. Pedaling for Kids is a 501(3)(c) public charity established to raise money for children with disabilities in Columbus, Georgia and the surrounding Chattahoochee River Valley. Pedaling for Kids specifically seeks to purchase items or equipment these children cannot typically obtain through Medicaid or insurance companies.
Carpenter’s Way Ranch
Dr. Sherrer was recruited by founder Glenn Davis in 1992 to help establish a home for disadvantaged young men in Columbus, Georgia. Dr. Sherrer served on the original Board of Directors of Carpenter’s Way Ranch and served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for two successive terms.
Carpenter’s Way has now merged with Our House, a ministry of The United Methodist Church and is now known as Our House at Carpenter’s Way Ranch. Our House now has homes for both boys and girls.
